KEY VERSE
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” — Acts 1:8
INTRODUCTION
Every genuine move of God is preceded by divine preparation. While we have declared this year as a season of signs and wonders, it is important to understand a foundational truth: God’s power flows only through prepared vessels.
Many desire supernatural encounters, but very few are truly positioned to carry the weight of divine power. God does not release His power carelessly or without purpose. He entrusts it to those who are yielded, available, and consecrated for His use.
If we truly desire to witness God’s mighty hand at work in our lives this year, we must intentionally prepare our hearts. We must grow in spiritual maturity, walk in obedience, and cultivate the character required to steward His glory. Only then can His power flow through us in a way that brings lasting impact and honor to His name.
MESSAGE
Before the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost, the disciples were first instructed to wait and position themselves. Jesus did not command them to rush into ministry or attempt to change the world by human strength. Instead, He gave them a clear instruction: “Tarry in Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
Why did Jesus insist on waiting? Because in God’s economy, preparation always precedes manifestation. Spiritual power must rest on prepared vessels. No matter how sincere the calling, unprepared vessels cannot sustain the weight of divine power without damage.
During that waiting season, the disciples prayed together, remained in unity, searched their hearts, and aligned themselves with the will of God. They did not seek influence; they sought God. They did not chase results; they pursued obedience. And when God’s appointed time arrived, the Holy Ghost came suddenly and mightily. From that moment onward, the world was never the same again. The course of human history was changed.
Today, many long to see the power of God, but only a few are willing to walk the path of preparation. We often want the anointing without the altar, the manifestation without the waiting, and the power without the process. Yet power without preparation produces pride. Power without purity can lead to destruction. But when power flows through a surrendered, disciplined, and consecrated life, it produces lasting transformation and brings glory to God.
If we desire to be positioned for supernatural manifestation in this season, certain priorities must be firmly established:
• You must hunger for God more than results. Power flows from desire for His presence, not obsession with outcomes.
• You must value intimacy over visibility. God trusts His power to those who know Him in secret before standing in public.
• You must prioritize obedience over convenience. Divine power follows obedience, even when it is costly.
When a heart is truly aligned with God, His power finds a resting place. God is not looking for the loudest voices or the most visible platforms. He is looking for prepared vessels. When He finds one, supernatural manifestation is inevitable.
CONCLUSION
This year, God is not looking for spectators. He is searching for sanctified vessels. He is raising those who will carry His presence, reflect His character, and release His power in their generation.
As you position yourself before Him (through prayer, obedience, and surrender), you will experience manifestations that cannot be explained by human effort. God’s power does not fall on the casual; it rests on the committed.
