KEY VERSE
“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” — 1 Samuel 15:22

Abraham obeyed God’s voice and became the father of many nations. Noah obeyed God’s instructions and preserved humanity. Jesus Himself lived in complete obedience to the Father, even unto death, and God highly exalted Him above all.
Obedience is not always easy or convenient, but it is always rewarding. It requires absolute trust. That is, trust that God knows better, sees further, and desires our good. Delayed or partial obedience is still disobedience. God honours obedience that is complete and timely.
When you walk in obedience:

- You allow God’s promises to be fulfilled in your life
