IT SHALL BE DONE

KEY VERSE
“Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”Matthew 18:18

INTRODUCTION

God sent Jesus into the world with a clear, divine purpose: to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). But imagine if God, knowing the strength of the enemy, had not equipped Jesus with the necessary authority to overcome Satan’s power. Would that be wise? Of course not. God equipped Jesus with everything He needed to fulfill His mission.

MESSAGE

Jesus boldly declared, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). He knew that the Father had granted Him all authority to accomplish His purpose. Jesus made this clear when He opened the Book of Isaiah and read:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:18).

This wasn’t just a declaration about His mission; it was a statement about the authority and power He was given to carry it out.

Do you think that Jesus would send you to face spiritual battles without giving you the same power and authority? Of course not! Jesus would never send you into battle unequipped.

When Jesus sent out His disciples, He didn’t just commission them to preach the Kingdom of Heaven; He empowered them to demonstrate His power:
“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease” (Matthew 10:1).

Jesus didn’t stop there. He gave His disciples the authority to:
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).

He also equipped them with powerful spiritual weapons:
“Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:18-19).

These words are incredible! Jesus has given you supernatural weapons to fulfill your destiny, but the question is: are you using them?

APPLICATION

You have spiritual authority and weapons at your disposal. The keys of the Kingdom of Heaven are in your hands, and Jesus has made it clear: whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

But here’s the thing—these weapons only work if you use them. It’s not enough to just know about your authority in Christ; you must activate it. Speak with authority. Pray with confidence. Bind the works of the enemy and loose God’s power into every situation.

The Lord has already empowered you to accomplish His work on earth. Walk in the authority He’s given you, and nothing will be impossible.

CONCLUSION

The task ahead may seem overwhelming, but you are equipped. Just as Jesus was sent with authority and power, so are you. You have the same spiritual weapons that Jesus used to destroy the works of the devil.

As you walk in the authority of Christ, know that the enemy’s defeat has already been secured. It shall be done according to the will of God.

PRACTICAL REFLECTION

Take a moment to reflect: Are you actively using the authority and power that God has given you? What areas of your life need to experience His supernatural intervention? Begin to exercise your authority in those areas today.
