KEY VERSE
“See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil.” — Deuteronomy 30:15
INTRODUCTION
Every new season in life begins with a choice. God never forces change upon us; instead, He lovingly invites us into it. As this year draws to a close, heaven is calling our attention to a powerful truth—the necessity of preparation. Before God releases something new, He first prepares the heart to receive it.
Transitions do not happen by accident. They are divine moments that require intentional alignment. God often pauses us—not to delay us, but to prepare us. Before promotion comes preparation. Before elevation comes separation. And before a new season begins, God gently invites us to examine our hearts.
As we stand at the doorway between one year and another, God is asking a simple but life-changing question: Are you ready for what I am about to do?
This moment is not merely the end of a calendar year; it is a spiritual checkpoint—a moment to reflect, release, realign, and be renewed.
MESSAGE
Throughout Scripture, God never rushed people into new seasons without preparation. Before Israel entered the Promised Land, they were instructed to consecrate themselves. Before Jesus began His public ministry, He spent time in prayer and fasting. Before the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost, the disciples waited together in obedience.
Preparation is heaven’s pattern.
Many people desire a new season but resist the process required to enter it. Yet God, in His wisdom, prepares the vessel before pouring in the oil. He works on the heart before releasing the harvest.
This season of transition invites us to examine our lives honestly:
- Are there attitudes God wants to correct?
- Are there wounds that need healing?
- Are there distractions that must be laid aside?
- Are there habits that no longer align with where God is taking us?
Preparation often requires letting go—of fear, pride, unforgiveness, or old mindsets. It may involve surrender, repentance, and deeper trust. But every adjustment God asks of us is an act of love, positioning us for greater glory.
God never prepares us only to abandon us. He prepares us because something greater lies ahead.
CONCLUSION
You are not standing at the end of something—you are standing at the doorway of something new. God is not finished with you. What lies ahead requires a prepared heart, a willing spirit, and a surrendered life.
As you close this year, choose to step into the next season intentionally. Allow God to realign your thoughts, purify your motives, and renew your passion. The new season ahead carries fresh grace, new opportunities, and divine purpose.
Prepare your heart. God is about to move.
