KEY VERSE
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” — Luke 10:19
INTRODUCTION
Many believers pray sincerely yet live timidly because they do not understand what Christ has already given them. Jesus did not only save us from sin; He restored our power, delegated His authority, and called us to walk in dominion. When these truths are misunderstood, believers live beneath their privileges and allow circumstances to rule them.
Today, you will learn that power, authority, and dominion are not future promises—they are present realities in Christ.
MESSAGE
1. POWER IS GOD’S ABILITY AT WORK IN YOU
Power is the divine enablement of the Holy Spirit that equips you to live victoriously.
“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” — Acts 1:8
This power enables you to overcome sin, resist fear, pray effectively, and manifest God’s life through your words and actions.
2. AUTHORITY IS DELEGATED RIGHT, NOT EARNED STRENGTH
Authority is the legal right to use power. Jesus did not ask believers to beg for authority; He gave it.
“All authority has been given to Me… therefore go.” — Matthew 28:18–19
When a police officer stops traffic, it is not by physical strength but by authority. In the same way, believers stand against darkness by the authority of Christ.
3. DOMINION IS GOD’S ORIGINAL DESIGN RESTORED
From the beginning, God created man to rule.
“Let them have dominion…” — Genesis 1:26
Sin disrupted this dominion, but Christ restored it through redemption. You were not created to be dominated by fear, sickness, poverty, or Satan—but to reign in life.
4. DOMINION OPERATES THROUGH FAITH AND OBEDIENCE
Authority unused is authority wasted.
“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” — Revelation 12:11
You exercise dominion by believing God’s Word, speaking with confidence, and acting in obedience.
CONCLUSION
Power equips you.
Authority backs you.
Dominion positions you.
In Christ, you are not a victim; you are a victor. When you understand and walk in these truths, fear loses its grip, the enemy retreats, and God’s will prevails in your life.
PRACTICAL REFLECTION
Ask yourself:
- Am I living as one who has authority or as one who hopes for help?
