RAIN IN DUE SEASON

KEY VERSE:
“I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.” — Deuteronomy 11:14 (KJV)

INTRODUCTION
There are times in life that feel like a scorching wilderness—dry, lifeless, and barren. You may look around and see nothing growing, nothing changing, and wonder if God has forgotten you. But even the driest desert hides seeds beneath its surface, waiting for the rain. In due season, those seeds burst forth into beautiful life.

MESSAGE

  • God’s Timing Is Never Wasted
Death Valley in California is one of the hottest, driest places on earth. Yet after the rains, it transforms into a sea of vibrant wildflowers. Though these plants lie dormant for years, they awaken at just the right moment. In the same way, the Word of God sown in your heart will bloom—not randomly, but in due season.
  • The Seed Is Already in You
Your faith, prayers, and obedience are not in vain. Like desert seeds waiting for water, what God has deposited in you is alive, though it may not look like it. You don’t have to make it happen by striving—just stay faithful, stay planted, and wait for the rain.
  • The Artesian Spring Within
Beneath the surface of Death Valley lies an aquifer—a deep reservoir of water. When the pressure is right, water rises naturally and refreshes the land. In your life, the Holy Spirit is that hidden well. When God’s rain comes, that inner well springs forth. You will be revived. You will bloom again. The beauty of the Lord will return to your life, and He will bless the work of your hands.

CONCLUSION
Don’t let your current dry season make you doubt God’s promises. The rain will come. What looks dead is only dormant. In His time—not yours—the refreshing will arrive. And when it does, your life will blossom with beauty, fruitfulness, and joy.

PRACTICAL REFLECTION
Have you grown weary in the waiting? Don’t stop trusting. Keep watering your life with prayer, the Word, and faith. The rain of your due season is already scheduled on heaven’s calendar.

SIMPLE SUMMARY
The dry seasons of life won’t last forever. If you keep trusting God, the rain will fall, and your life will bloom again in His perfect time.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands…” — Psalm 90:17
