THE SUPERNATURAL LIFE

KEY VERSE:
“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”1 Corinthians 4:20

INTRODUCTION

Every believer is called to live a supernatural life. Christianity is not a religion of talk. It is a life of divine power, divine presence, and divine possibilities. The supernatural is not reserved for pastors, prophets, or apostles. It is the birthright of every child of God.

When Jesus saved you, He didn’t just forgive your sins. He brought you into a new realm of existence, a realm where God’s power flows through your spirit, transforms your life, and touches the world around you.

The supernatural life is normal Christian living. Anything less is subnormal.

Today, God wants to awaken you to this higher realm where the impossible becomes possible.

MESSAGE

1. You Carry the Life of God Within You

The supernatural life begins with this revelation:

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27

You are not ordinary. God Himself lives in you. His life flows through your spiritual veins.

This means:

  • The wisdom of God is in you.
  • The power of God is in you.
  • The nature of God is in you.
  • The Spirit of God is in you.

Your identity determines your capacity. If you see yourself as ordinary, you will live ordinary.
When you see yourself in Christ, you will operate in His power.

2. The Supernatural Is Your New Environment

Before salvation, you lived only by your senses—what you could see, hear, touch, and understand. But now: “…we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

You have been transferred into a new realm: “…God…hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”Colossians 1:12–13

The Kingdom of God is a supernatural kingdom. Its normal operations include:

  • Healing
  • Deliverance
  • Miracles
  • Prophecy
  • Divine guidance
  • Provision
  • Angelic intervention
  • Victory over darkness

There is nothing strange about this. It is Kingdom culture.

3. The Holy Spirit Is the Engine of the Supernatural

No believer can live the supernatural life without the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said:

“You shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” — Acts 1:8

The supernatural life is not by human effort. It is not by willpower. It is not by intellectual strength.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord.” — Zechariah 4:6

According to Acts 10:38, even Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power before He went about doing good. As you yield to the Holy Spirit, He manifests God’s power through you.

  • He heals the sick through your hands
  • He speaks through your mouth
  • He guides your decisions
  • He reveals hidden things to you.
  • He gives supernatural boldness
  • He breaks yokes through you
  • He empowers you to live above sin

The Holy Spirit does not just visit you, He lives in you.

4. The Supernatural Life Is Sustained by Obedience

The supernatural does not operate in a life that refuses obedience. The greatest miracles in the Bible flowed from simple obedience:

  • God told Moses, “Stretch out your rod.” As he obeyed, the red sea was parted for God’s people to go through.
  • Jesus told His disciples, “Fill the waterpots.” When the obeyed, the water was turned into wine.
  • God instructed the Israelite Priests to:“Step into the flooded Jordan River.” As they did, the raging river’s flow was miraculously stopped.
  • Jesus told Peter, “Launch out into the deep.” He obeyed and experienced the greatest breakthrough in his fishing business.
  • Peter told a lame man at the beautiful gate: “Arise and walk” and the man was healed by the power of God

Miracles do not just happen, they follow divine instructions. God told Ezekiel to prophesy to dry bones. Jesus commanded us to speak to the mountains. If you don’t speak, nothing will happen.

If you want to see God’s power, you must be ready to obey promptly, fully, and joyfully, even when the instruction looks strange.

Obedience unlocks the supernatural.

5. The Supernatural Life Makes You a Blessing to Your World

You are not called to keep the power of God to yourself.

The supernatural life turns you into:

  • A carrier of healing
  • A carrier of hope
  • A carrier of God’s presence
  • A carrier of solutions
  • A carrier of prophetic insight
  • A carrier of deliverance
  • A carrier of divine wisdom

Jesus said:  “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also…” — John 14:12

The supernatural life is proof-producing—your life becomes a testimony that Jesus is alive.

CONCLUSION

You are not an ordinary believer struggling to survive. You are a supernatural being carrying the presence and power of God. The supernatural life is not for “special people.” It is not a future gift. It is your present inheritance.

Walk in this consciousness.
Expect miracles.
Speak with authority.
Act on the Word.
Yield to the Spirit.

The supernatural is your new normal.

PRACTICAL REFLECTION

  • Do you see yourself as ordinary, or as one filled with God’s power?
  • Where do you need the supernatural to manifest today?
  • What instruction has God given you that you must obey?

Write it down. Act on it.
