KEY VERSE
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” — Luke 10:19
INTRODUCTION
One of the greatest truths every believer must understand is that God never intended for His children to live defeated lives. When Jesus saved you, He did not only forgive your sins; He restored your authority.
In this season of signs and wonders, God is calling His people to rise beyond fear, timidity, and spiritual passivity, and to walk boldly in the authority He has already given them.
You were not saved to struggle endlessly. You were saved to reign in life through Christ (Romans 5:17; Revelation 5:10).
MESSAGE
Authority is not something you beg for. It is something you receive and walk in. Jesus declared clearly that He has given His followers authority over all the power of the enemy. That means no demonic force, no situation, no opposition has legal permission to dominate a child of God.
However, authority must be understood and exercised. Many believers live powerless lives not because power is unavailable, but because they are unaware of the authority they carry (Hosea 4:6).
Jesus operated in authority because He knew who He was and where He came from. In the same way, when you understand your identity in Christ, fear loses its grip and confidence rises within you.
Authority is expressed through:
- Faith in God’s Word
- Obedience to His instructions
- Bold declarations rooted in truth
- A life submitted to the Holy Spirit
You don’t beg the devil; you command him in the name of Jesus. You don’t negotiate with fear; you resist it. When you walk in alignment with God’s Word, heaven backs your declarations.
This year, God is calling you to rise above spiritual intimidation and walk boldly in the authority He has placed upon your life. As you resist the devil, he will flee from you.
CONCLUSION
The authority of heaven has been entrusted to you; not for pride, but for purpose. You are called to enforce what Jesus has already accomplished. As you grow in your understanding of who you are in Christ, you will walk with confidence, power, and courage.
The days of timidity are over. This is your season to stand, speak, and act in divine authority.
PRACTICAL REFLECTION
- Do I truly believe that I carry spiritual authority in Christ?
- In what areas of my life do I need to exercise God-given authority?
- What fears or doubts must I confront with the truth of God’s Word?
PRAYER POINTS
- Father, I thank You for the authority You have given me in Christ Jesus.
- I receive boldness to stand firm against every work of darkness.
- I declare that I walk in victory, power, and divine authority in Jesus’ name.
